Your team is already using AI.
Who taught them to use it safely?

Insurers, clients, and regulators are already asking about your AI policy. Safe AI Habits trains your team and gives you certified proof you've done something about it.

Training your team is one thing.
Making it stick is another.

Most training gives learners a burst of knowledge and then - when they're back at their desks - it slowly drains away. The basal ganglia (the brain's autopilot) has a lot to answer for. Safe AI Habits is built differently - around the same habits-based model that has kept 5,000+ Helpdesk Habits certified users practising what they learned, years after they certified.

The programme's creator, Mark Copeman, has spent six years proving that short, habit-focused training outperforms long, lecture-style courses every time. Safe AI Habits applies that exact methodology to one of the most important challenges facing small businesses right now.

5 SECTIONS
16 MODULES
1 CERTIFICATION
4 LOCALES

Everything they need. Nothing they don't.

60 minutes of HD video content. Short enough to hold attention, long enough to actually change behaviours.

Section 1 - Foundation: Understanding AI
01
The Importance of Habits
Why habits beat rules for behaviour change, and why AI safety needs to be instinctive rather than remembered.
02
What AI Actually Is
The single idea that changes everything: AI predicts, it doesn't know. What that means for how you use it.
03
Why AI Gets Things Wrong
Hallucinations, bias, knowledge cutoffs, and the confidence problem. Why AI sounds right even when it isn't.
04
The AI Landscape at Work
Purpose-built tools, embedded AI, and shadow AI. What's already in your workplace and why it matters.
Section 2 - Risk: Where It Goes Wrong
05
Data and Privacy
What happens to your data when you use an AI tool. The stranger test. What should never go in.
06
Shadow AI
Why unapproved AI use is everywhere, why it matters, and what your individual responsibility looks like.
07
Intellectual Property and Confidentiality
What counts as confidential, what AI does with it, and why client data stays out with no exceptions.
08
Bias, Discrimination and Legal Exposure
How AI absorbs and amplifies human bias, and what that means when AI is used in decisions about people.
09
Synthetic Media and AI-Generated Deception
Deepfakes, synthetic voice, AI-written phishing and CEO fraud. How to spot it and why this is a frontline workplace risk.
Section 3 - Legislation: What the Law Says (Localised)
10
The Law in Your Region
The primary AI regulatory framework for your jurisdiction - localised for UK, US, Australia and Canada.
11
Data Protection and AI
How data protection law applies specifically to AI use in your region.
12
Your Organisation's Responsibilities
Policies, documentation, and what auditors and regulators actually want to be able to see.
Section 4 - Putting It Into Practice
13
AI Tools in Practice
How the major AI tools work right now. Data settings, licences, where Copilot fits, what's dangerous and what isn't.
14
How to Prompt Well
Getting better output from AI tools as a safety habit. Poor prompts produce poor outputs that get acted on.
15
When to Pause, Check and Escalate
A clear framework for the moments that matter - when to stop, verify, and involve someone else.
Section 5 - AI Policy
16
Your Organisation's AI Policy
What an AI policy is, why it exists, what to look for in yours, and the formal acceptance that puts it on record.
πŸ† Certification Assessment
20 questions across all five sections.
Pass to receive your named certificate of completion - documented evidence of AI literacy for your team, clients and insurers.

Finally, a way to prove your team uses AI responsibly.

Anyone can write an AI policy. Very few organisations can demonstrate that their people have actually been trained - and tested - on it.

The Safe AI Habits certification gives every team member a named certificate of completion - documented evidence that they understand the risks, know the rules, and have been assessed on both.

That's not just good practice. Under most local legislatures, organisations must be able to demonstrate AI literacy across their teams. Certification is how you do that.

Show compliance - don't just assume it
When a client, insurer, or regulator asks what training your team has had, you'll have a clear, documented answer.
20-question assessment across all five sections
Not a box-tick exercise. A proper assessment that confirms your team has absorbed what matters.
Named certificate for every completer
Each certificate records the individual, the programme, and the date - making it auditable evidence of training.

The same great programme, localised for your legislation.

Modules 10, 11 and 12 are tailored to your local regulatory landscape, so your team learns the rules that actually apply to them.

Rolling it out is your job.
We made it a small one.

No installs, no IT project, no training day to organise. Invite your team by email and the platform does the chasing, the tracking and the record-keeping.

Presenter-led video, not death-by-slides

Sixteen short HD modules, presented by Mark Copeman - each one built around real incidents and ending with a single habit your team will actually carry forward.

Captions and module notes and links are included. Progress saves automatically, so people can dip in between meetings rather than losing an afternoon.

Named, dated, and carrying a unique ID that anyone can check at verify.safeaihabits.com. Your team can download it, share it, and add it straight to LinkedIn.

For you, it's the register that answers the question before it's asked - when an insurer, client or auditor wants proof of training, it's a click, not a scramble.

😬

What happens if you don't take action?

  • x A team member pastes client data into a public AI tool
  • x A client asks for your AI policy and you don't have one
  • x An insurer or regulator asks questions you can't answer
  • x Someone acts on a hallucinated AI output and it costs you
😌

What happens when you get decisive?

  • Your whole team knows exactly what they can and can't do
  • You can show clients and insurers a certified, trained team
  • You sleep better knowing the risky stuff isn't happening
  • You're the business that got ahead of this - not the one that didn't

Meet Mark. Your team's about to spend an hour with him.

Mark Copeman has spent 15 years building things for businesses - training programmes, books and SaaS tools. He has spoken at dozens of events around the world and understands what actually gets teams to change their behaviour (hint: it's not a 47-page policy document).

He created Helpdesk Habits - the certification programme that has trained over 5,000 IT professionals to deliver brilliant customer service. Safe AI Habits is the same model applied to one of the most pressing challenges businesses face right now.

He's also co-founded and exited multiple businesses, including Customer Thermometer, which counted Facebook and Dropbox as customers. He genuinely enjoys this stuff, which really helps.

"Short, habit-focused training outperforms long, lecture-style courses every time. Safe AI Habits applies that exact methodology to one of the most important challenges facing small businesses right now."

Questions worth asking

Around 60 minutes of video content across 16 modules, plus a 10-minute certification assessment on completion. Most people work through it in two or three sittings - progress is saved automatically so your team can pick up wherever they left off.
The core programme covers AI risk, data privacy, shadow AI, IP, bias, synthetic media, and responsible habits - relevant to every business regardless of location. Modules 10, 11 and 12 are localised to your jurisdiction: UK (ICO, UK GDPR), USA (NIST framework, state privacy laws), Australia (Privacy Act, AI Ethics Framework), and Canada (PIPEDA, AIDA). EU localisation is coming soon.
Once a team member has completed all 16 modules, the certification assessment unlocks. It's 20 questions across all five sections of the programme. An 80% pass mark is required to receive a certificate. The certificate is named, dated, and includes a unique certificate ID - making it auditable evidence of training for insurers, clients, or regulators who ask.
AI legislation and tooling moves fast - what's current today won't be current in 12 months. The programme is updated quarterly to reflect changes in legislation, new regulator guidance, and evolving best practice. After 12 months, renewing gives your team access to everything that's changed and a fresh certificate. It's also a natural conversation with clients or insurers about what's been updated and why it matters.
Almost always, yes. An AI policy tells your team what they should do. Safe AI Habits builds the instincts that mean they actually do it - and can prove it. The certification assessment and named certificate is the piece most policies are missing: documented evidence that individuals have been trained and tested, not just told. You can also load your policy into the platform, so every team member formally accepts it before they certify.
You're in the majority - most businesses don't. Two answers: the programme's final module walks your team through what an AI policy is and why it matters, and our free AI policy generator will draft one for your sector in minutes. Generate it, tune it, load it into the platform, and your team formally accepts it as part of certification.
About as much as sending a calendar invite. You add your team members by email from your dashboard, the platform sends the invitations and reminders, and everything runs in the browser - nothing to install, nothing for IT to configure. Your dashboard shows who's completed, who's mid-way, and who needs a nudge.
From a team of one to a few hundred. Sole traders and small teams buy a handful of seats; larger organisations get better per-seat rates as numbers grow. If you're an IT provider looking to deliver this to your clients under your own brand, that's a different product - see the MSP page.
